Occupy America by bluefluke Occupy America by bluefluke
So...let's be realistic here: the "Occupy" movement is
probably the last chance we will ever have as citizenry to
regain our democracy from a lecherous cabal of
sociopathically greedy gold farmers.
Vote all you'd like, both parties have essentially become
a troupe of actors, playing their parts for their lobbyist masters.
It's a comedic tragedy, really.

Get involved, every major city in America has an Occupy movement and you can find yours here: www.occupytogether.org/

This is it folks, this is our last gasp. Take a deep breath.

Free speech but only as long as you agree with him. Otherwise you are a money grubbing fascist and don't deserve to voice an opinion. What's actually ironic is the occupy movement only encompasses 1% of the population. LoL, look whose the real one percent. ~C

first of all conq you cant fit 99% of the population in New York city, and second many people are afraid to join the occupy movement because they fear that they will suffer more than they should if they do and according to the gallupe poll in 2011 (www.gallup.com/poll/150896/sup… when the occupy movement was at its height shows that 26% support it, 19% oppose it, 52% are listed as neither (though i think its another way of saying neutral), and 4% are no opinion, also to be honest it think the 99% percent thing is more symbolic than literal but there are more than 1% of Americans supporting it during its height (me being one of them(no surprise eh?)) (yes i know this is terribly written so flame me about it and how did the argument went?)

Protesting only has power through the government. Protesting has always been used to make the government pass legislation or stop doing things. I don't see why the government would have any reason to attack their wealthy overlords. In the past it was things that when changed, the government didn't suffer. Black people got their civil rights, women got their civil rights, no skin off the government's back. But Occupy is asking the government to regulate the Rich, the same people who bribe the politicians. It seems this is an issue where protesting won't work. Rebellion is the answer.

Don't think of it as an activist movement, because it's not. This is a populist movement made of everyday people.

Nobody wants a revolt. They want a real power check on the corporations and the super rich and they want it to have teeth.
Occupy has thus far been wildly successful in it's purpose: to inform the mass public and change the topics of
discussion among them. Everyone knows who's to blame for the economic meltdown and they're pissed.

It was an ad campaign made for and by the everyman and it worked, watch it soar.

...okay, and once everyone is informed..then what? And it seems most people have no idea what ocupy is about, and the few who do know what its about have no idea how its going to bring about any real change. Even the people IN occupy don't have any idea what they are doing or how they are going to achieve their vague goals...and the worst part is they are unwilling to change their tactics or even consider doing things differently. Occupy is already a failure that can only hurt America by over-shadowing any real or useful movements that may arise :(

You where hoping for what? Armed rebellion? That won't work. The structure collapses and the power vacuum is filled with whom?
It won't be the "revolutionaries". No, it will be those with the most guns and organizational skills: ms-13, drug lords, small bands
of ex-military (i.e. war lords) etc.

If there is a leak in your boat you plug the hole, you don't burn it while your in it.

Armed rebedllion won't work in the country that was founded on armed rebellion...funny how in reality it is the revolutionaries who take control, but it is adorable how naive and brainwashed you are. Your anaology fails too. Its more like iff the boat is being driven off a cliff, you, and the other passengers, take control of the boat and drive it to safety. And how could occupy, a leaderless, directionless movement 'plug up the hole' in the boat? Being directionless, like a headless chicken, it'll will do nothing, and being leaderless, it will refuse to let anyone take charge to fix the problem. I'm sorry but reality disagrees with you. Stick to drawing, cuz thinking isn't your strong suit....actually, because of that reason you'd make a fine Occupy member :)

:angered: "ZOMG! Bluefluke doesn't share my personal ideological belief structure! He must be stupid
and brainwashed by THEM or he would think exactly like I do!"

Have fun living in your ridiculous adolescent power fantasy kiddo, it's a great excuse to
never have to get off your lazy ass and put any effort into making manifest your beliefs.

You're pretending to wait for a Santa that will never come so that you can bitch about
how bad everything is and never have to get off the couch. Talk of ideology is an empty
exercise in boundless pretense when you don't back up your words with action, which you
will (of course) never have to do.

I think most people know what's wrong and who's to blame. Sadly, few can agree what exactly to do about it.
There are a limitless number of solutions but there aren't many that aren't worse than the problem itself.

We most definitely need to put our feet down and show them who's boss, but I don't want to hurt people.
I think that we still have time to let them step down peacefully before this shit gets bad enough for the crazies
to start puling their guns out of their closets and lining up the guillotines.

The sad thing is that the people in power simply don't understand that the Occupy movement is a last act of mercy,
a chance to step down and save themselves while still living a fairly comfortable lifestyle. :(

Honestly.. I'm one of the crazies that wants the guillotine.. My main problem is that.. revolutions are... complex, you wont have a united front of the oppressed masses going up against an evil regime of evil (did I mention evil)

If it does happen, it will be like a many-sided civil war except an even greater mess... And I don't want that.. not only cause we would have so many dead for nothing.. but imagine if the far-right took over.. *shudders*

Hundreds of protesters have already have been hospitalized and thousands have been arrested.

As long as we do not strike back with violence we will always be considered the good guys in the
public's eyes and that's the point.
They WANT us to turn violent because violence is the only tool they have to fight us.
The public's ability to vote them out scares the shit out of them, not molotov cocktails.

Yeah, the army tried to use that microwave thing to control riots in Iraq and they had to stop because
of all the controversy they drummed up here in the states.
People called it a "microwave abortion machine" because it kills mid to late term fetuses almost instantly.
They would never be stupid enough to deploy it on protesters, it would be an
instant win for us and immediately silence even our harshest critics. ;)

...whatever you say little man. You can sit by that cash and urge your thugs all day, but the combined efforts of people amount to more than all the riches in the world.

Artistically, I find this style rather appealing. It strangely reminds me of some of the older Nintendo stuff, but that could just be the pointy teeth the officers have...

Thanks for being nice. ^_^

My style looks like it does because I learned to draw and color making graphics on a certain NES emulator.
I used to make rom hacks by keeping a games engine but changing the graphics, music and level design.

Old habits are hard to break and I still find myself adhering to the emulator ethos: Simple design, thick
lines and the "three shades of color" rule. :dummy:

I think the sentiment is something pretty universal, democracy just isn't what it used to be.
The body populace needs to re-assert it's control over the engines of governance and economy
or bad times will be heading our way.

Your forgeting The U.S. is the fith reich
your forgeting you don't have those right anymore
the Patriot act took them all away
Oh yeah by the way did you know you have to pay money to get a permit to hold a protest somewhere
and even after you pay the money they can still just saY NO

I agree with you about the permit to protest, it seems like a ridiculous violation of
our constitutional rights and that the Patriot act is a slippery slope that we are
all beginning to slide down.
The fifth reich thing is really stretching it though.
